This Saturday, I will be 33.
So, here are my 33 resolutions for the upcoming year:
- Grow my hair out a little. Between chin & shoulder length sounds good to me
- Take a bicycle maintenance class
- Wear more hats
- Be less flaky
- Spend more one on one time with each of my 4 kids
- Take a dance class
- Visit my family in my hometown way more often
- Have a family picture taken
- Build up my savings account
- Go to a professional football game
- Have people over for dinner
- See live music once a month
- Always have my nails painted
- Remember to take movies back on time
- Re-learn to drive stick-shift
- Get that Sylvia Plath tattoo I've always wanted
- Go to the DeYoung museum
- Put the laundry away as soon as it's done
- Go to a play
- Have more picnics
- Buy a real camera & learn still life photography
- Take/teach my kids (and husband) to ride a horse
- Learn to hit a baseball
- Return phone calls & messages
- Say no when I need to
- Hike Mt. Tam again
- See the Sundial bridge in Redding
- Volunteer somewhere
- Teach my teenager to drive
- Lose 33 lbs
- Take an all girl's trip
- Write more
- Watch a sunset from Muir beach with my family
I like the number 33, it has a nice ring to it. I think it's as good a time as any to get going on some simple life goals, don't you? :)
Those are great! Skip "losing 33 lbs" Seriously! Climb Mt. Tam instead. :-)
ReplyDeleteAnother friend just suggested "bike 33 miles" and I like that :)
DeleteI love this list! Am I allowed to ask about the S. Plath tattoo?? (So curious)
ReplyDeleteSure! It's a quote from a lesser known 3 part play titled "The Three Women"
Delete'I find myself again, I am no shadow'
I like it! Though in general, a lot of her writing makes me melt. Thanks for sharing your list!
ReplyDeleteMe, too! Kindred spirits, we are :)
