Embarrassing pictures make the best memories

Doing what I do best: Eat!

This year we made a conscious decision as a family, to eliminate as much stress as possible from the Holiday season.
For us, this meant spending Thanksgiving with just our 3 youngest kids at home, while the rest of our extended families spent the day together. I was worried that we'd feel like we were missing out on something but that didn't really happen.
I did miss my oldest, who decided at the last minute to spend the day with my Grandma, but I don't blame him.
My Grandma is kind of awesome and also there is always a small chance that my teenage niece will bring along one of her cheerleader friends to join in the festivities, so really, if you were a teenage boy what would YOU choose to do? =)

In my true fashion, I chose to celebrate the day by donning a tacky Fall Tree appliquéd t-shirt and posing for ridiculous pictures.
And of course, it wouldn't be a Croxford family celebration if I didn't, at some point, bust a move in the living room. Unfortunately, none of the young kids know that they're supposed to be embarrassed by me yet so that does take some of the fun away.
There really is nothing more fun than making a fool of yourself on purpose- in public if you can!- in the presence of a teenager. They do not love this. But I do!
It's one of the real joys of being a parent.

Another joy? Taking pride when your children follow in your footsteps:
That's my boy!
Hopefully you all had a great Holiday and are ready to face the impending insanity of Christmas (or whatever Winter Holiday you celebrate.)! Peace out, Nerds!

Sounds like a good thanksgiving. Low stress is awesome. :)
